Instructions
Here’s the step by step guide to prepare delicious sugar free makhana dry fruit ladoo
Step 1 : Prepare The Dry Ingredients
Dry roast the makhana in a pan on low heat until they get crisp. Once roasted, blend them into fine flour. Remove and set aside. Roast cashew nuts, almonds, coconuts, and pumpkin seeds in a pan until it turns golden brown. Set these aside to cool.
Step 2: Blend the Dates and Figs
In a blender, take the soaked dates (khajoor) and blend with milk into a fine paste. Chop dried figs into small pieces and mix these with date paste.
Step 3: Mixing the Ingredients
In a big mixing bowl, mix together roasted makhana flour, coconut, cashews, almonds, dry berries, pumpkin seeds, and chia seeds. Add to this elaichi powder and black pepper powder to give it a flavour.
Step 4: Add the Ghee and Date-Fig Mixture
Heat ghee in a pan until it melts. Pour it over the dry ingredients and mix well. Add the date-fig mixture to the bowl and blend everything together until it forms a sticky, dough-like consistency.
Step 5: Shape the Ladoos
After the mixture is well combined, grease your hands with a little ghee and start shaping the mixture into small, round ladoos. Press gently so the dry fruits stick together.
Step 6: Set and Serve
Let the ladoos sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to firm up, then enjoy! You can store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
